A spokesperson for Severn Trent said: "We're sorry to anyone who's had issues with their water yesterday, this was caused by a burst water pipes in the area. Our teams are working hard and have repaired one pipe, and are working on fixing the other which is more complicated. The repairs are complex, but our teams are moving water around the network to keep everyone on supply. We're sorry for the disruption this has caused."
Water carriers have been spotted on Thorpe Road as well as multiple engineering teams in Saxby Road and Thorpe End working to fix the problems.
Severn Trent has confirmed that there are 4 properties where the burst is that are affected, and they have bottled water and the water supplier are in contact with them.
