Train services running through Melton Mowbray train station are currently suspended due to a police incident.
Emergency services are currently dealing with an incident on Station Lane in Asfordby which has caused the suspension.
In a statement Leicestershire Police said: "there is currently a police incident on Station Lane. If possible please avoid the area until further notice due to traffic build up."
Traffic is built up around the area too including A607 Main Road, Kirby Bellars and Main Street, Asfordby.

Train Operator Cross Country who operates services to Stanstead and Birmingham New Street through Melton said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident at Melton Mowbray - all lines are blocked. Train services running through these stations will be delayed or cancelled.
Rail replacement transport is currently being sourced as services will terminate and restart short of their destinations. East Midlands Railway are conveying passengers between Peterborough and Leicester via Derby and Nottingham in both directions until further notice. Arrangements have been made for CrossCountry rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys."
It's expected services will be disrupted until at least 10:30 this morning.
