Emergency services are currently dealing with a three vehicle collision on Burton Road in Melton which has caused the road to be closed.
Fire crews were called to the scene at 13:07 today (Friday) following reports of a traffic incident.
Two fire appliances from Melton Fire & Rescue Station are in attendance at the incident which involves a car, van and HGV.

A Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Spokesperson said: "3 vehicles involved in Road Traffic Collision. 1 car 1 van & 1 HGV. One male casualty trapped in car. Ambulance crew in attendance and assessing casualty, Fire service stabilising vehicle to prepare for extrication of casualty. Burton Road currently closed."
Police have closed the road between Norfolk Drive and Craven Street and are urging drivers to avoid the area.
Emergency gas repairs are also causing congestion in the area with three way temporary lights in operation around the Ankle Hill junction.
