Thieves target caravans and garden centre as police look at links between three incidents

Police have appealed for information after a local garden centre was targeted and also a caravan stolen from Asfordby Hill.


The Grange Garden Centre issued a Facebook appeal for information after three people were captured on CCTV along with a Black Audi in the area following severe criminal damage at the award-winning business.


A CCTV still which was issued following criminal damage and a caravan theft in Asfordby Hill.


A separate appeal was also posted after a couple were left devastated after their caravan was stolen from the area on the same evening. The registration on the stolen caravan was FL19 UGA.



This caravan was stolen from the Asfordby Hill area on Wednesday night.


A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: "Officers are investigating a report of criminal damage at the garden centre, which occurred between 5.15pm on Wednesday (22 February) and 7.30am yesterday. Damage was caused to electric gates and CCTV cameras.



A Black Audi was spotted on CCTV around the time of the incidents.


It was also reported that a caravan - which did not belong to the garden centre - was taken. Enquiries into both incidents -including whether this is linked to any other reports - are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact police."


Another caravan was stolen from Cosby in Leicestershire at around 5:20pm on Wednesday evening.
