Specialist officers searching a lake in Watermead Park have today (Tuesday 21 June) found the body of a man.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, it is believed to be that of a man seen entering the water on Friday evening (17 June).
A Leicestershire Police statement said: "Dedicated officers are continuing to provide support to the man’s family at this time.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner. Identification of the deceased is a matter for HM Coroner."
The spokesperson added: "We would like to thank those members of the public who came forward with information and the local community for their support, co-operation and understanding."
