Shoebox appeal launched for Christmas 2021

Teams 4u have recently launched this years shoebox appeal .

The idea is that people from the Melton area and further afield will grab an empty shoebox, fill it with goodies and they will be sent to children in Eastern Europe to put a smile on their faces in the build up to Christmas.

Regional Co-Ordinator Steve Gamble said: "We need people to fill medium sized shoe boxes with items for needy children in Eastern Europe . I have been in touch with partners in Belarus and they say hats ,gloves and scarves are really needed in order for the children to play in the snow ,as well as tooth brushes , toys sweets etc."

Used boxes to decorate are a a available at Peacocks on Sherard Street, Melton. Flat packed boxes are available along with information leaflets/ box label’s at The Fairtrading Post shop in Market Place .

Completed boxes need to be dropped of at The Fairtrading Post in Burton Street between 1st & 18th November.

The Fairtrading Post is open Tuesdays - Saturdays 10am-4pm.
