Station Lane which links Kirby Bellars with Asfordby remains closed while Network Rail inspect the damage and carry out repairs to the level crossing after it was damaged by a vehicle yesterday evening.

They confirmed that to allow trains to keep running safely, the crossing has had to be closed to vehicle/pedestrian traffic.

There is no access at all from one side to the other and the crossing is completely closed from both directions. Signage has been placed at the enterance to both sides of the crossing advising drivers that the road is closed at the level crossing.
