The A606 has re-opened following a collision this morning.
Police were called following reports of a collision between a van and a motorbike earlier this morning.
The road was starting to be re-opened at 16:30 this evening (Monday).
A Leicestershire Police Spokesperson said: "Around 11am on Monday 12 July officers received a report of a collision between a van and a motorcycle at the junction of the A606 Nottingham Road and Six Hills Lane near Ab Kettleby.
The road was closed while officers and East Midlands Ambulance Service attend the scene.
The motorcyclist has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham with what is believed to be a serious injury.
No other injuries were reported and enquiries are ongoing."
