Rutland County Council is holding a public meeting from 7.00pm to 9.00pm on Monday 6 February, where all members of Council’s Cabinet will answer questions about their decision to end general access to Catmose Sports Centre and return the facilities to Catmose College.
Leader of Rutland County Council Lucy Stephenson said: "“We understand the strength of feeling around the decision to end general access to Catmose Sports Centre and return facilities to the college after 31st March.
" While the Cabinet will not be reversing this decision, we want residents to have the chance to ask questions and hear directly from us as to why it has been taken and how we move forwards, together.”
The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber and streamed live online via the Council’s website for anyone wishing to watch from home. The link to view the meeting online will be posted on the Catmose Sports Centre page at 10.00am on Monday 6 February.
Rutland County Council say that spaces at the meeting are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
To request a space at the meeting, please email: meeting@rutland.gov.uk, confirming your name, the number of people hoping to attend and the question you wish to ask.
You will then receive a response from the Council to confirm if you have been allocated a space.
Anyone who cannot be given a seat will be sent the link to watch online.
Answers to all the questions received in advance of the meeting will be published on the Council’s website afterwards.
