Leicestershire County Council has granted the closure to Trueform Building Ltd on behalf of MPC who will be carrying out the works.

The river is a popular cut through for residents of the Wimpey Estate to take a short cut in to town and is often a spot for nesting swans during the season.

The path from Lowesby Close to Saxby Road is unaffected by this closure.
