Police Thank Public After Vehicle Recovered

Earlier this week Melton police appealed for information regarding a suspicious Grey Honda CRV.




Today police have confirmed locating the vehicle and discovering Amazon parcels inside.

In a statement on Facebook they said: “On behalf of everyone here at Melton Police, we would like to thank the keen eyed members of public/neighbourhood watch groups for all of the information provided regarding the Grey Honda CRV.


This vehicle has today been recovered by officers who also came across many Amazon parcels within the vehicle. Enquiries are on going regarding this matter. Thank you to everyone”



A statement from Leicestershire Police said: “Police are investigating after a car - believed to have been used in crime - was recovered at around 1.30pm yesterday (Wednesday) in Nether Street, Harby. A number of parcels were found in the vehicle.


Officers are linking the incident to a reportat 1.54pmthe same day of a van stolen in High Street in Waltham-on-the-Wolds. The van was found abandoned in a Melton car park a few hours later.

No arrests have been made at this stage.
