Police ask public to look out for stolen jewellery as man charged with burglary

Police in Melton are appealing to the public for help in locating some stolen jewellery after a burglary in the Hoby area.


A 26 year old man from Leicester, who hasn't been named by Police, has been charged with the burglary at an address in Hoby, near Melton, on 7th June 2022.


Officers are now trying to trace the unique jewellery in the hopes of reuniting it with their rightful owners.

In a statement Melton Police said: "A 26yr old man from Leicester has yesterday been charged for a burglary that happened in Hoby, Melton Mowbray, on Tuesday 7th June 2022.

There are still a number of items missing that the owner is very keen to get back. This is mainly jewellery, some of which is very recognisable. If anyone comes across such jewellery please consider contacting Leicestershire Police."
