Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a women in her 60s died following a collision in Asfordby Hill last night.
Emergency services were called to Welby Road, Asfordby Hill shortly before 11pm last night (Wednesday).
It was reported a red Hyundai Kona had collided with a red Ford Fiesta.
In a statement, the Leicestershire Force, said: "The woman, who was in the Fiesta, was pronounced dead at the scene. A man in his 60s who was also in the car remains in hospital where he is receiving treatment for injuries that are not life-threatening.
An 18-year-old man who was in the Kona also remains in hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Detective Sergeant Ed Des-Chanelle, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “Our enquiries into the incident are continuing today and while we have spoken to people who stopped at the scene after the collision occurred, I’m appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone with dashcam or mobile phone footage. I’d also ask anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision occurring to get in touch. Anything you could tell us could help our investigation.”
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire & Rescue service added: "We received a call at 22:59 to an RTC (Road Traffic Collision) involving an electric vehicle. Two appliances from Melton and one appliance from Birstall Station attended this incident alongside the Police and EMAS."
