A new residential home in Melton has posted some of its new job offerings as it prepares to open.
Wilton Manor which is on the site of the old Sandicliffe Building in Leicester Road, Melton, have started to recruit for staff to work inside the 59 bed home which will offer residential and dementia care for its residents.
The news could be a welcome announcement for some in the Melton area following the recent closures of Egerton Lodge and Waltham Hall.
Described online as a 'welcome home' it's fitted with exceptional equipment, and a highly trained, compassionate team on hand at any hour.
Sanders Senior Living, who are advertising for the roles, say they want to stand out from other homes in the area.

The group currently operate 5 homes including Graysford Hall in Leicester and The Belmont in Worcester.
They were also finalists in the HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards in 2022 and voted in the top 20 of the Care Home Group Awards in 2024.
Set over two floors, Wilton Manor features a Cinema, Therapy Room, Hairdressing Salon, Exquisite Lounges, Reading Room and Private Dining Room.
One of the jobs listed is for a Deputy Manager for the home. you will take responsibility for and effectively supervise the day-to-day running of the home in the absence of the Manager. Aongside this you will also promote a caring environment for residents through high standards of professional practice which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of our residents.
You will need at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role and Level 5 in Leadership and Management, RMA or working towards it.
Another role is for a Home Administrator where you will be preparing payroll, ordering supplies, preparing reports for various agencies and general administration duties. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working within the care sector.
If DIY is more your thing then you might be in luck as the home also requires as Maintenance Operative on a permanent full time basis. You will be responsible for providing routine maintenance including basic plumbing and decorating.
You will also be tasked with ensuring security is maintained and scheduled checks are conducted throughout the home. Must have the ability to carry out minor repairs and general maintenance including but not limited to basic plumbing and decorating and be able to work unsupervised. A good standard of record keeping is desirable.
