Fire Crews have been attending a multi car Road Traffic Collision on Barkby Road, Thurmaston where a person was trapped.
Crews were called just after 7pm this evening (Saturday) following a request for assistance from Leicestershire Police.

An initial Leicestershire Fire and Rescue statement said: “Upon arrival incident confirmed as an RTC involving 2 vehicles, 1 person trapped, 4 other casualties at scene suffering injuries. A total of 5 Ambulances were requested.
A607 north and southbound is closed.
Fire Service are using hydraulic cutting equipment to extricate 1 casualty from vehicle.”
A recent update from the Fire Service said that 3 casualties with minor injuries have been assessed by East Midlands Ambulance Service and will be conveyed to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

A 4th casualty has been extricated from vehicle by Fire Service and is being conveyed to QMC Notts by Ambulance.
Fire Service are currently making vehicles safe.
The conditions of the casualties have not been released.
