Firefighters from four counties have been battling a large blaze at a disused factory in Melton.
Emergency services received a call to reports of a large fire in Snow Hill in Melton at 21:05 on Tuesday evening.
Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service deployed resources from multiple stations in the county and have received support from Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue, Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service and Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue.
An orange glow could be seen across the town at the height of the blaze with many people on social media reporting sounds of a large bang followed by the blaze.

Fire engines from Melton, Oakham, Birstall, Grantham, Eastern, Loughborough, West Bridgeford, ALP Central, Water Carrier from Kettering, Command Support from Shepshed were all in attendance at the incident.

The fire has taken hold of a disused factory in Snow Hill in Melton which is the former site of Jeld Wen which has recently closed as operations were moved elsewhere.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Multiple calls received to a building fire in Melton Mowbray. On arrival Incident Commander requested further appliances, aerial ladder and water carrier to fight the fire.
Disused building fully involved in fire measuring 60m x 70m.
2 BA, 2 main water jets and one hose reel being used."

Snow Hill remains closed to traffic as firefighters work to bring the blaze under control.
