Melton nursery to host fundraiser to thank charity for colleague’s support

Staff at a Melton nursery are holding a series of fundraising events to support a charity who have been a great support to a colleague of theirs.

Early Years Nursey in Norman Way are holding a rainbow relay in aid of the Rainbows Hospice who have been a big support to their colleague Claire and her family following the premature birth of her daughter Luna.

Colleagues are raising funds for Rainbows to thank them for helping their colleague and her family.

A big part of Luna and Claire’s journey has been the support of Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough.

It has been able to provide Claire such incredible support with Luna’s health needs, a safe place for them to spend time as a family and the staff themselves have been such great friends for her during this time.

Most of all they have allowed Claire to make the most wonderful memories with Luna from sensory classes, baby massage, play sessions to swimming lessons all of which she will be able to cherish forever.

Staff from the nursery along with the help of children from the nursery (rainbow relayers) will be keeping a rainbow baton on the move all day on Tuesday 4th October.

To keep it moving staff will be running laps of the playground and children will be taking part in little ‘rainbow raves’ dancing with the baton to music.

Staff and children will be working together to keep the baton moving all day to raise funds for the charity.

A Just Giving page has been set up to give people who want to, the chance to donate towards the relay.
