A 54 year old man has been arrested after a car collided with a house in Melton and left the scene.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident in Stafford Avenue at around 7:45pm yesterday evening (Tuesday) following reports that a car had driven in to a house.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "At around 7.45pm yesterday, a report was received that a car had collided with a property in Stafford Avenue, Melton.
Officers attended but the vehicle had left the scene prior to their arrival.
Following further enquiries, the car was located and a 54-year-old man from Melton was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road traffic collision and failing to provide a specimen of breath."

Police have confirmed that the man remains in custody at this time and enquiries are continuing.
A Leicestershire Fire & Rescue spokesperson added: "There were no injuries, everybody was accounted for and temporary accommodation was requested. The incident was made safe and a building inspector was requested. This was then handed over to building control."
