The price to the local community is becoming clearer following the closure of Stapleford Park Hotel near Melton.

The news will see local people out a job. Not welcome news following the recent closures of Tuxford & Tebbut's dairy, Holwell Works and The Stute to name a few.

The hotel has seen its fair share of celebrity visitors during its time including Peter and Abbey Crouch who got married at the venue in 2011 and Michael Jackson visited before his death.

"It's a bit heartbreaking because the venue is the first thing you arrange and then everything comes after that."
