One of the town's biggest employers has confirmed they are to close all three sites within the town in another blow to Melton's economy and job scene.
It was initially thought that the company would combine all operations and move them to its Thorpe Road site however the company has now confirmed all three sites will close.
Jeld Wen has confirmed that all three sites in Thorpe Road and Snow Hill are to close with an estimated date of December 2022.

Jeld Wen, who have a massive history within the town, join local businesses who have recently shut down in a massive blow for the local job scene.
It was confirmed earlier this year that Asfordby Storage & Haulage would closing following Mars moving its logistics operation to Castle Donnington.
More recently other local firms who have decided to close in the town include Melton Toys in Nottingham Street, Barclays Bank in Wilton Road and Halfords in Snow Hill which closed last week.

In a statement issued this morning (Friday) a spokesperson said: "In May, JELD-WEN Europe announced a comprehensive business review that included a consultation process regarding the potential closure of the Melton sites, which produce windows, exterior doorsets & patios, exterior doors, and stairs. That consultation process has now ended, and we have made the decision to close all three sites in Melton, which we expect to be completed at the end of December 2022.
This is part of a global assessment of our network to maximize efficiencies in our operations and focus on areas will help ensure long-term profitable growth.
While decisions that impact our people are never easy, we are committed to supporting those affected and have begun the process of assisting these employees as they transition."
