A Leicestershire Police Spokesperson said: " At around 10pm last night (29 October) a vehicle failed to stop for officers in the Melton Mowbray area.

A police pursuit was authorised and a short time later, the vehicle stopped after colliding with a brick wall in Frisby-on-the-Wreake.

Two people were arrested at the scene while two people made off from the vehicle.

Those arrested, a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old youth, both from Leicester, have been arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and remain in police custody.

An area search was made with the assistance of the National Police Air Service but the two outstanding people were not located."

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
