Fire Crews Tackle Melton Shed Fire

Fire Crews were called this afternoon to reports of a fire at the rear of the Cutting Room in St. Mary's Way Melton.

Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service said they received multiple calls from members of the public at 15:45 this afternoon (Wednesday). Two appliances from Melton station attended.

A Fire Service Spokesperson said: "Upon arrival, incident confirmed as outdoor wooden structure involved in fire, slight smoke and fire spread to adjacent property."

1 Hose Reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and no casualties were reported.

Fire crews were praised for their quick response by residents on social media.
