The Air Ambulance is also at the scene.
More to follow.
The aircraft flew at pace low over the Roman Gate development towards the neighbouring Roundhouse Park development. The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland air ambulance, a search and rescue helicopter, two fire appliances, half a dozen police cars, including unmarked, and ambulances joined by two unmarked white estate cars spent the best part of an hour at the scene.
The air ambulance departed towards the southeast returning, presumably to station, in the direction of Nottingham about 15 minutes later. The search and rescue helicopter departed in the direction of Nottingham shortly afterwards.
There was traffic disruption along Leicester Road until 4:30 p.m.
