A 16 year old boy was arrested on Friday evening following a foot chase on Saxby Road in Melton.
The arrest was part of Leicestershire Police's involvement in the nationwide campaign Operation Sceptre which focuses on the dangers of knives.

A spokesperson for the Force said: "This arrest was part of the Op Sceptre operation which was running last week – a 16-year-old boy was arrested in Saxby Road Melton on Friday (17 May).
He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed weapon, possession of a controlled class B drug, concerned in the supply of class A drugs and fraud."
Police confirmed that the boy was released on bail pending further enquiries.
