ill be there itll be the first time the cortina will turna wheel in anger with the new motor and set up got some high hopes cant wait

did somebody say scavenging

a variable valve timing (vtec) turbo exhaust manifold will be tuned totally different to a normal factory turbo'd motor like a cossie motor for example, turbo engines dont like much cam overlap unless you run a whopping big turbo, vtec engines have a lot of overlap being a tuned N/A motor, the scavenging on a vtec turbo is totally different because they have much more cam overlap and they make the power higher up in the rev range. your lovely new manifold will be just fine mate

im at an AOC meet on sunday but me and dan are tempted to go on the monday

over the winter ive stroked the motor to just shy of 6 litre with forged pistons and rods wild cam big valve/ big port heads twin carbs and a taller manifold for the higher rpm this year and itll be gettin a big shot of gas a bit further into the season bud

on paper it should have about 500bhp without gas so im aiming for 11's without gas 10's with quite a jump from last year lol

ye defo 3 seconds is a massive jump, im aiming for 9.5 whenever i get the mk3 finished
